Cart abandonment

Cart Abandonment Conversion Rates Stats

Last week we reported that as many as 65% of online shoppers abandoned their shopping carts during the Black Friday-Cyber Monday weekend.  Today we’re proud to report that online retailers who retargeted those cart abandoners with Barilliance cart abandonment emails, managed to retrieve 15% of those lost sales.  Most e-tailers using the Barilliance solution had sent the first cart abandonment email 1 hour after the abandonment. In case a conversion was not  made a 2nd  retargeting email was sent 24 hours later.

Analysing the cross-device path to purchase, we found that as many as 36% of shoppers who conducted a purchase on a mobile phone, had initiated the shopping session on a different device. This finding highlights the importance of choosing a cart abandonment solution that can cope with the cross-device hoppers trend.
